Though the first get-together isn’t until May, book lovers may want to take note that Barnes & Noble has just launched the Barnes & Noble Book Club. It’s designed to bring readers in communities across the country together to discuss some of the greatest books being published. A FREE Book Club night will be staged nationally at stores, led by expert booksellers.
Bestselling author Meg Wolitzer’s novel The Female Persuasion has been chosen as the first book club pick for the inaugural meeting on May 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (local time). As part of the new club, Barnes ( Noble is offering customers an exclusive edition of the book that includes a special Reading Group Guide and essay by the author.
Customers who come to the FREE Book Club discussion on May 2 will also receive a FREE regular, tall hot or iced coffee and FREE cookie from the Cafe. One signed book will also be given away. If you are interested, you are asked to sign up at the Customer Service counter in store to participate.
