We recently reminded you about Boulder’s Art Parts, a purveyor of materials that can be fashioned into inexpensive and environmentally responsible gifts. Click here for that post. The Crafts Box in Wheat Ridge is a similar concept.
The Craft Box, established in February 2012, is a thrift store that brings new life to gently used craft items. Regulars call it “The Box,”and they know it as a crafting haven that encourages creativity and reduces waste through the sale of craft items and offers classes and events. Staff are well versed in crafts ranging from quilting, stamping, scrapbooking and needlework. In addition, the local community is supported through the donation of items, time and talent to local charitable organizations.
Doesn’t this represent the holiday spirit? 6191 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, 303-279-1069.
