Today is Wednesday, and that’s the cue for Village Inn’s introduction of Free Pie Wednesdays. Guests get a FREE slice of double-crust fruit, Nutty Monkey, Apple Raspberry Almond Streusel or Lemon Meringue pie with any dine-in purchase at participating locations between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Here’s some fine print: Time and pie varieties may vary by location. Families watching their dining dollars will happily feast on this promo from Chili’s at participating locations. Through Sunday, November 15, the popular eatery is offering a Family Feast for just $30 — 1 appetizer, 2 kids meals, 2 full-size entrées (selected from Dinner for Two menu) and 1 dessert. There is no coupon required — simply ask your server for the special deal. It’s not often a family of four can dine out at such a low-price, so the deal definitely gets our stamp of approval. To really maximize the savings, we suggest ordering a round of water for everyone and skip the sodas!
We love getting rewards for being a loyal customer. If your family loves Chili’s, you’ll want to join its new loyalty program, My Chili’s Rewards. (The loyalty program replaces its previous e-club.) Members earn one point for every full dollar spent on eligible items, with no cap. Here’s the current reward schedule: 30 points = FREE chips & salsa or side item; 35 points = FREE non-alcoholic beverage; 60 points = FREE dessert, kids meal, queso or fresh guacamole; 80 points = FREE appetizer or lunch combo; 120 points = FREE Triple Dipper; 160 points = FREE entrée of your choice; and 325 points = FREE $20 dinner for 2. What Our Readers Say…
I wanted to reach out to you today to tell you “Thank you.” Mile High on the Cheap changed my outlook about life, and my family’s. Your hub has supported me in that while we don’t have much, we can still feel fulfilled. The information from your site has brought us out into our community more; we’ve even found that we enjoy free things to do as a family even more-so, because there’s no pressure to “get our money’s worth.” Mile High on the Cheap has been such a huge help even extending into helping to teach our son (5 years old) about money. We’ll take a dollar from his piggy bank, and he feels so proud to help on free food Fridays at King Soopers or 99 cent eggs from Safeway. We’ve found a new love for our community and so much opportunity to grow as a family. Mile High on the Cheap is the best newsletter I get every day. — Stacey
I realized this morning that I trust you more than any other online connections I have never met. That may seem like a back-hand complement, but I do mean it! Although faceless, you have managed to build trust through an essentially impersonal website that simply alerts me to saving and sales options. Maybe it’s because you’ve actually shared your real names; maybe it’s because I know that you are local; maybe it’s the subtle, but consistent, personal touch you communicate through your deal postings; maybe it’s because every deal on which I’ve ever followed through after being alerted to it by you has been a real one; or maybe it’s all of these things. In any event, I guess I could say that you’re “my friends in the deal business.” I’m even thinking about canceling my notifications to most other deal sites, such as Groupon, since I know I can keep abreast of virtually every conceivable option for saving money in Colorado through Mile High On The Cheap alone. – Mary Ann

It takes a village to raise a kid, right? Well, in this case, it takes Village Inn to help feed the little ones. Every Monday and Tuesday, kids (10 and under) eat FREE at Village Inn with the purchase of an adult entrée. The offer is for a limited time at participating locations from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Limit one freebie per adult entrée purchase. Plus, the hungry tots can only choose from the kids’ menu.
We all get ’em in the mail. Some of us see as them as nothing more than junk mail. While others (like us), can’t wait to tear ’em open and see what savings wait inside. (We admit they’re not always the best deals, but you can always find a gem or two.) Well, did you know you can print more coupons at home? Visit its website and enter your location to find printable coupons for merchants in your area — mostly restaurants. However, they have lots of coupons for services, from auto repair to dental care. (We searched the Denver metro area and found more than 275 coupons available.) Each coupon will show the exact location where it’s valid, so you know whether or not it’s worth printing. You can sort the list by distance or alphabetically. The coupons are updated periodically, so keep checking back for new discounts. We think it’s wise to take a glance first at the site, before heading out the door to grab a bite. A few minutes could save you a few dollars. (Oh, wait! Isn’t that from an insurance commercial?)
