Hogshead Brewery

As a brewery that serves fine English style ales, Hogshead Brewery caters to those who are ready for a proper pint of what they refer to as “real ale”. Although their emphasis and passion lies with traditional British ales, you can find a relaxed atmosphere and a variety of beers at their taproom.

CLOSED: Factotum Brewhouse

Closed permanently. At Factotum Brewhouse, anyone can brew. Siblings and founders Christopher and Laura aim to highlight the collaborative spirit that permeates the craft beer industry by using Factotum Brewhouse as a place for homebrewers to display their craft, refine their talents, and receive unbiased public feedback.

They keep this service open to expert and novice brewers alike, as a way of honoring the foundation on which the success of craft beer is built.

With homebrewers as the cornerstone of the brewery, you can always expect to find something new at Factotum. Enjoy one of their staple rotating beers, or stop by to try whatever the current guest brewer is creating.

Spangalang Brewery

Spangalang Brewery focuses on quality and freshness above all else. The brewery is named in honor of the Five Point’s historic jazz roots –  a spangalang is one of the cymbal rhythms often found in jazz. Much like most jazz music aims to always keep things fresh and interesting, Spangalang Brewery aims to serve their beer the way it should be, crisp and properly handled, which is why it is nearly impossible to find their beer anywhere but in their taproom.

Black Shirt Brewing

Named after Johnny Cash’s iconic style, Black Shirt Brewing aims to embody that same sense of non-conformity and rule breaking in both their craft brewing and in their overall philosophy. They seek to challenge the norms of the craft beer industry through their unique beers and cocktails, while also acting as the self-proclaimed best music centric brewery.

Black Shirt Brewing aims to strike a balance between music, pizza, and beer. They’ve received accolades for their taproom patio and were even awarded “Best Brewery for Live Music” in 2017.

Oskar Blues Brewery

If you think the phrase “canned craft beer” is an oxymoron, then you’ve never visited Oskar Blues Brewery. Known as the first craft brewery to can their beer, this brewery sells its brews across the country but calls Colorado home.

At Oskar Blues, they are firm believers that cans keep beer fresher for longer by eliminating the damaging effects of light and ingressed oxygen. So now you can enjoy the freshest and most flavorful beer possible, wherever you happen to go.

Prost Brewing Company

The award-winning Prost Brewing Company is so dedicated to creating the perfect lager that they use only 100% authentic German products shipped in from overseas. Ratio Beerworks

Ratio Beerworks is a product of the punk scene of the late 90’s. The DIY mindset of its founders led to a passionate exploration of brewing, which eventually built to the creation of their most ambitious project yet: Ratio Beerworks. The brewery focuses on creating a wide variety of carefully crafted beers that are based on traditional styles but that offer a modern twist.

While the scene at Ratio is all about beer, they also aim to translate the punk rock industry’s sense of community and can-do spirit through their frequent events. They often have food trucks on site and host live music, trivia, and more.

Upslope Brewing

Founded by three friends who share a passion for living life outdoors and brewing the perfect beer, Upslope Brewing works to honor the great outdoors and the adventurers who explore it. The brewery is named after a snow-dumping weather pattern that provides some of the fresh snowmelt used to brew the beers at Upslope.

You can find Upslope at two different locations in Boulder. Their main production brewery is location in Flatiron Park, while their original brewery can be found on Lee Hill in North Boulder.

Cerebral Brewing

If you’ve ever longed for a brewery that took a more scientific approach to beer, then Cerebral Brewing is the place you’ve been looking for. With the belief that beer is too vast a medium to be approached thoughtlessly, Cerebral focuses on crafting beer of the highest quality and consistency.

Cerebral Brewing’s overall goal is to celebrate beer by combining scientific methodology with an artistic viewpoint to create delicious beers that span a broad spectrum of styles. For them, crafting beer is more than a hobby. It is a culture, an art, and a science.

There will be three special classes you can buy tickets for and the proceeds from those sales will support Conservation Colorado. The second class is free, hosted by Conservation Colorado, and it’s called “Build Collective Power” (3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.). The final class is “Sustainability of Sourdough” by Rebel Bread (5 p.m.-6 p.m.) and tickets are $20 which includes a beer and a sourdough starter kit. There will also be hourly raffle drawings throughout the event.

Opened with the goal of becoming a place for the up and coming RiNo community, Our Mutual Friend Brewing began as a small neighborhood taproom.
