The Mile High Cheapskates are at it again! Never want to pay for toothpaste, soap or shaving cream again? We’re holding a Coupons 101 workshop at the William Tell Apartments (in the Common Room) in Capitol Hill on Thursday, September 10, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The program is sponsored by Capitol Hill Care Link and open to all. Laura will share tips on how to stretch your dollar using coupons and other tricks. During the FREE workshop, she will talk about ways to save big on groceries and toiletries. Where do you find coupons? What does “stacking,” “Catalina” and “BOGO” mean? Where are the best places in town to find a deal (and which do you want to avoid)? And where inside those stores do they hide the steals? Who doubles coupons all the time? What are the rules of couponing and how can you prevent being fooled into buying a more expensive item? In this fast-moving, fun workshop, you’ll learn how to play the grocery game step-by-step and increase your buying power by 30% or more. Laura loves answering questions, so come ready to fire away. Plus, in true Mile High on the Cheap style, there will be a door prize. Please note there is only a small parking lot, but plenty of street parking. 1599 Williams St., Denver.
