The Boulder Public Library is selling off what it describes as “tons of children’s books” at the super-bargain price of two books for a buck. Adult fiction, history, self-help, art books, cookbooks and more are $1 or $2 each. The sale takes place on Saturday, June 2, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 3 from noon to 6:30 p.m. in the Boulder Creek Meeting Room, Main Branch, Boulder Public Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder.

Sadly the park closed for good on June 30. If you like a smaller (but still lots of fun) amusement park, you’ll enjoy Heritage Amusement Park (18301 W. Colfax Ave.) in Golden. (Little kids will especially like it because of all the kiddie rides!) Frugal families will appreciate its weekly special, every Tuesday and Thursday, the park offers unlimited rides for $12 (reg. $15) — through August 16.

The Boulder Public Library’s used book sale this weekend features hundreds of books for sale, mostly priced at $1 to $2, with children’s books 2 for $1. You’ll find fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, children’s books, art books, collectibles and more. The sale is held in the Boulder Creek Room in the Main Library from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, and from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 3.
The library is a short stroll from the Boulder County Farmers’ Market (8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday), so you can visit both in one trip. Special close-out prices are in effect after 3 p.m. on Sunday.
