Woke Up Stand Up returns. New Mutants is a diverse stand-up comedy showcase on Thursday, July 12 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Wood Boss Brewery. Inspired by the 2016 Presidential election and the poor reflection of the changing demographics in comedy shows, Woke Up Stand Up was fostered.

The FREE show features Michael Seyedian, Shanae Ross, Jo Kimbrell, Zach Welch, Cody Spyker and Headliner Deacon Gray. Hosted by Basil Faraj (from NBC Breakout Comedy Festival, Laugh Factory). 2210 California St., Denver.

14er Brewing Company was born out of two friends’ desire to enjoy beer with unique Denver flavor that wouldn’t leave them feeling sluggish or weighted down. 14er’s “uniquely crushable” beers feature distinct flavor profiles and extreme drinkability – meaning that even weekend warriors and avid athletes alike can enjoy them without having to slow down their adventures.

Sadly the park closed for good on June 30. If you like a smaller (but still lots of fun) amusement park, you’ll enjoy Heritage Amusement Park (18301 W. Colfax Ave.) in Golden. (Little kids will especially like it because of all the kiddie rides!) Frugal families will appreciate its weekly special, every Tuesday and Thursday, the park offers unlimited rides for $12 (reg. $15) — through August 16.
