Need to burn off some of those Turkey Day calories? Start your morning in a fun way, while giving back to the community. The Avista Adventist Turkey Trot is a FREE 5K fun run on Thursday, November 24 at 9 a.m. Participants receive a FREE entry with the donation of non-perishable food or gently used winter clothing. The run will start in front of the Louisville Public Library on Front Street. Strollers are welcome, as well as pets on a leash. The flat, family-friendly course winds through downtown Louisville and into the surrounding open space.
Donations will be given to the Sister Carmen Community Center, a comprehensive assistance program for local families in need. After crossing the finish line, runners can browse a local business Expo and enjoy FREE post-trot coffee and hot chocolate. Registration is required. Do so online or at walk up registration on race morning.
