Kids in the Erie area can enjoy an epic science adventure over winter break. From Monday to Wednesday, December 28 to 30, enjoy three days of fun and exploration of astronomy, flight and sounds. Here’s the schedule: Monday, December 28 – Sweet Sun-sations! View the sun with a super-powerful telescope (equipped with a special sun filter). Design solar cupcakes with eclipses, flares and sun spots. Sessions are offered for K-2 and Grades 3 to 5 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Tuesday, December 29 – Fantastic Flight Rocket. Learn how airplanes stay in the air and rockets blast off into space. For Grades K-2 at 10:30 a.m. Play Well LEGO Engineering will help kids build a LEGO motorized helicopter. Starts at 1 p.m. for Grades 3 to 5. Wednesday, December 30 – Super Sounds! Grades K-2 create their own rubber band sound maker and investigate sound science at 10:30 a.m. At 1 p.m. it’s a Garage Band Jam for Grades 3 to 5. Made noise at the library as you create, play and record awesome music without an instrument. Learn how to use the Apple iPad app and experiment with multiple touch instruments.
