Take me out to the ballgame! Just like you, our loyal readers, our office team is all about summer fun on a budget. And one of our summer traditions is going to one or two Colorado Rockies games. There’s something special about the roar of the crowd, the crack of bat and enjoying a hot dog under the summer sun at Coors Field. 

Plus, we’re always watching the scoreboard to see if we get cheap tacos at Taco Bell or FREE nuggets at McDonald’s the following day. 

Fortunately, our team has some extra tickets we can’t use. Of course, we can’t just toss them out! We’d rather give them away to one of our frugal friends.

The Colorado Rockies are not sponsors of or affiliated with the giveaway. This is a MHOTC giveaway. 

One lucky reader will win four (4) tickets to the Colorado Rockies game against the LA Dodgers on Tuesday, June 27 at 6:40 p.m. (The tickets are in Section 117, Row 10 — valued at $140!)

Note: You will need to have a Ticketmaster account, so we can transfer the tickets to you digitally.

    Our favorite activity, by far, is going to our community pool. The initial sign up fee was expensive, but when you break it down into daily cost – we can entertain our family of four and build relationships in our community for $10/day.

    We really do love getting out and going to the games! We make a whole adventure of it; take the train down, go to the arcade, grab pizza beforehand. You can even get to the game s little early and grab cheap beers at the upstairs bar! Always a blast!

    Summertime, when I was growing up was often spent with my dad going to see the Denver Bears and then the Rockies. He is a die hard fun and I would love to be able to take him to a game. Go Rockies!

    Honestly, attending baseball games with my adult kids is one of our favorite things to do because we all like it, even when the Rox don’t do so well. Next to that is getting out side for a hike or a swim🙂. Concerts are great but getting very pricey.

    We do a Family Reunion every July our Fam enjoys gathering all of our camping stuff, shaking off the dust and packing the Family car with a weeks worth of necessetties for a Roadtrip to the Beautiful Routte National Forest , where we meet up with more Family (cousins and there families, aunts & uncles neices & nefews & Siblings) we usually have about 75- or 80 of us show up at sum point over the week. I can remember this gathering once a year since i was 4 y & we share such an awsum Family Bond that for dinner everyone pitches in an item of food we have one person from each family taking turns doing the cooking & Cleaning up after. When its time to eat Dinner my UNCLE RINGS A COW BELL to announce dinners ready(my Grandad used to do this till he passed) and we stand in a circle holding hands (usually at least 40 or 50 of us give or take)and say our prayer “God is good God is Great etc……than kids serve first than adults can serve and your expected to eat everything on our plates. No wasting food. We fish in the lake we go on hikes we gather for a fire and smores each nite also This is the best Family Tradition.

    Wow! So many great comments! Makes me so happy that we are finally getting some warm weather to enjoy all of the above! My family loves biking, playing and picnicking at a park, hiking by a river with our dog. My sweetest memories involve anything with water– pools, lakes, beaches, even sprinklers and slip n’ slides long as we can get wet!

    Bike rides, swimming and amusement parks. Yesterday was my first time to the mountains, we went with my little boys and in laws. It was beautiful. Even though I was terrified for my kid’s safety with the hills, rocks and water I did it. We had a blast and plan to go back soon and even maybe camping which would be a first for us too!

    Love anything outdoors. Love watching my grand kids play baseball–sad it is coming to an end. My grand kids are so crazy about that game–and they are really good at it. Both boys will be moving up to the next level. Love eating outside, love outdoor movies, love the mountains.

    I enjoy the state parks all over CO, lakes for SUP (Stand Up Paddleboards), and I also enjoy taking my dog to the open spaces all over CO.     I signed up for Only In Colorado and it tells us about new places to eat, where to go for fun actives and hidden gems. So we pick a few destinations and make it a weekend trip. Sometimes it is challenging as we have dogs, but we make it work! We’ve found so many wonderful/beautiful places right under our noise in Colorado! Making memories with your loved ones is priceless.
