Northwest Denver residents and bikers that frequent 32nd Avenue have a new bike repair station at the west end of Highland Square. Highlands United Methodist Church (32nd & Osceola) has purchased and installed a Dero Fixit bike repair station which features an air pump, wrenches and other tools that allow anyone to make basic bike repairs. On Sunday, June 12, learn how to use the station at a FREE clinic at 11:30 a.m. hosted by the church and SloHi Bike Co, a nearby neighborhood shop. The clinic includes basic techniques such as changing a flat tire and adjusting brakes and more intermediate repairs such as cables and derailleurs. An arm extends from the repair station so a bike can be hung to allow the wheels to spin freely while adjustments are made. The station even boasts a QR code on it with links to YouTube videos showing how to make common repairs. 3131 Osceloa St., Denver.
