Once again, Styria Catering is planning to oom-pah-pah and don lederhosen with the staging of their Oktoberfest held from Friday to Sunday, October 1 to 3. The three-day event replicates an authentic German festival, complete with German bands, dancers, stein hosting and sausage eating contests, homemade food and, of course, imported German beer.
Live entertainment includes performances by The Rhinelanders and Denver’s Thirsty 5. There’s also a kids area and enough strudel to keep everyone happy.
Chef Walter Neuhold of Styria Catering plans a sumptuous menu:
Friday and Saturday feature a Traditional Sausage Grill.
Sunday is the Frühshoppen, a German-style brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. includes Sauerbraten, Schweinebraten, Roast Chicken, Spätzle, Smoked Salmon, Salad Bar, Strudel Blackforest Cake. Cost $20 (all-you-can-eat), $8 for kids 12 & under.
NO pets. No dogs. No emotional support animals. Service dogs for the handicapped are welcome.
Festival hours are Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mountain Cowboy Brewing Co., 318 Fifth St., Frederick.
