The Erie Historical Society’s 15th annual Erie Biscuit Day on Saturday, September 16 from 8 a.m. to noon features 2 biscuits, 2 sausages, sausage gravy and a choice of coffee, milk or juice for $8; a smaller portion of the same (1 biscuit and 1 sausage) for $5. In addition to this comfort-food classic, the FREE event features a cake walk, raffle drawing, craft booths, historic photos and live music from the popular Weld County Ramblers and dance from Celtic Steps. Local restaurants (14 Carrot, Echo Brewing, Azteca, Miner’s Tavern and The Dugout) compete in a stew contest. The nostalgic festivities take place on Briggs Street, downtown Erie.
