It also includes an upbeat suite from Bizet’s Carmen, featuring soprano Jennifer Bird-Arvidsson, Eric Whitacre’s musical setting of the children’s classic Goodnight Moon and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s festive overture celebrating his African culture, Danse Nègre.
