Beginning shutterbugs who want to learn about photography can get the basics at Photography 101, a FREE workshop on Tuesday, March 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at JAX Broomfield. Learn about composition, framing and lighting for capturing your best photos.
You’ll also briefly discuss shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, and some basic settings on your camera that will help you improve your photos. There’s a Q&A afterward with in-house photography expert Zach Mieszala, so don’t forget to bring your camera. 5005 W 120th Ave., Broomfield.
Benchmark Theatre is a new, professional theatre company that launched its first, full season in 2017. Their next production is the regional premiere of an adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984, which opens Friday March 15 and runs through Saturday, April 13 at The Bench at 40W. Have you ever wanted to design your very own website or set a world record? Do both! Join TechGirlz for a FREE workshop on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hadley Library. Students will learn the elements of HTML/CSS AND set a world record for the number of girls coding at the same time.
