Fashion retailer Forever 21 announced on Sunday, March 16, it is filing for bankruptcy. The company said in a statement that its stores and website in the United States will remain open and continue serving customers for now, but it is implementing an “orderly wind-down” of its business. Joann’s going-out-of-business sales have already begun at stores that were announced as closing last month. JCPenney is closing its store at The Shops at Northfield. This is one of eight locations to close across the country. The freestanding store is located at 8568 E. 49th Ave. in Denver. It becomes the second major retailer at Northfield to shutter, joining Macy’s in closing its doors.
