For us, every day is America Recycles Day, but too many people still remain unaware of the importance of wise use, conscientious disposal and also reuse of materials in helping our environment and our communities’ livability and fiscal health. America Recycles Day is Sunday, November 15. Here are a couple of events planned for the metro area. We hope there will be many more in 2016 and beyond. Boulder’s St. Julien Hotel, in conjunction with Blue Star Recyclers, accepts all computers, refurbishes them and provides them to low-income families through PCs for People. The event, from noon to 5 p.m., is FREE and there is no wiping fee to remove all of your information. Plus, there will be complimentary apple cider, hot chocolate and cookies. The St. Julien is at 900 Walnut St., Boulder. ♦ Manna of the Rockies is committed to helping the community and the environment by funding charitable programs, reducing solid waste and providing economic stimulus and employment through its network of Community Based Organizations. From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., it is supporting each organization’s specific cause by hosting a clothing collection drive. The event takes place at Southlands Mall, 6155 S. Main St., Aurora.
