Enjoy October Movie Night ‘Dark Side of the Rainbow’ at Marjorie Park

POSTED BY

Get ready for a frightfully good time under the stars! Join the Museum of Outdoor Arts (6331 S. Fiddler’s Green Circle) in Greenwood Village for its October Halloween themed movie night at Marjorie Park on Friday, October 24, 2025. Bring your own blankets and chairs or reserve a fireside table for an upgraded experience. Concessions will be available for purchase and yard games to play before the movie.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts after dusk — around 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10. You can buy them here.

MOA will present a screening of the classic film “The Wizard of Oz” while simultaneously playing Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon.” This pairing, often referred to as “Dark Side of the Rainbow,” has fascinated audiences for decades, offering a chance to see familiar works in a fresh and unexpected way.

For decades, fans have whispered about a strange and magical coincidence: when Pink Floyd’s 1973 album,“Dark Side of the Moon” is played simultaneously with the 1939 classic “The Wizard of Oz, uncanny connections begin to appear.

Dorothy opens the door to Oz just as the music swells into “Money.” Lyrics and rhythms seem to echo the film’s imagery.

Scenes and songs align in ways that feel too perfect to be chance, and yet, it was never planned by the filmmakers or the band.

This curious pairing, often nicknamed “Dark Side of the Rainbow,” has since become a cult classic experience around the world. For some, it’s a trippy coincidence.

For others, it’s a surreal experiment in the blending of cinema and sound. Either way, it’s a phenomenon that continues to fascinate audiences more than 50 years after the album’s release.

VIP Fireside Table:

Available for reservation. Accommodates up to six people. Limited quantities available. Pre-purchase only for $120.

Concessions:

Concessions 3-tab Wristband. Redeem each wristband tab for any one concession item, including alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, candy or other food item. (Food items include nachos, popcorn, candy and hot dogs.)

$20 if purchased in advance online
