POP! POP! POP! Mmm…buttery popcorn! Popcorn is a universally loved treat. However, many fans believe movie theater popcorn is by far the best. And National Popcorn Day is the perfect time to celebrate and enjoy the iconic corny snack. Popcorn lovers in the Mile High City can enjoy buckets of the popular snack for FREE or at a discount on National Popcorn Day, January 19, 2026.

The deals are valid at participating locations, while supplies last. Limit one per person, unless noted otherwise.

Keep checking back for updates on more National Popcorn Day deals or giveaways in Denver.

Here’s what’s poppin’ on National Popcorn Day in Denver:

AMC Theatres

Celebrate National Popcorn Day at AMC Theatres!

From January 16 to 19, 2026, AMC Theatres is offering FREE large popcorn with the purchase of an AMC 2026 Popcorn Pass. The pass sells for $29.99 and gets moviegoers 50% off a large popcorn every day in 2026.

There are 12 AMC Theatres locations in Colorado — Aurora (2), Brighton, Broomfield, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Denver (2), Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch and Westminster (2).

Cinemark

Add this deal from Cinemark to your bucket list for National Popcorn Day!

Got a bucket or container handy? Swing by any Cinemark on January 18 and 19, 2026 and they will fill ‘er up with buttery goodness.

Literally anything can be a bucket! Get creative and bring in any container, tote or bag. Cinemark Theatres will load it up with popcorn for just $5 — up to 400-oz. That’s equivalent to two (2) XL popcorns at the popular movie theatre chain.

There are 9 Cinemark locations in Colorado — Aurora, Boulder, Colorado Springs (2), Fort Collins (2), Greeley, Lakewood and Pueblo.

Harkins Theatres

To celebrate National Popcorn Day on January 19, 2026, Harkins Theatres is offering 50% off all popcorn. Plus, My Harkins Awards members will receive a FREE small popcorn, valid in February with the purchase of popcorn on January 19.

In addition, Harkins Theatres sells a Popcorn Perks voucher for $40. The pass gets you a FREE medium popcorn, each time you go to the movies — valid for up to 12 months or 36 total popcorns, whichever comes first.

There are two Harkins Theatres locations in Colorado — Arvada and Denver.

Movie Tavern by Marcus

Marcus Theatres is “popping off” on National Popcorn Corn Day with a FREE Large Popcorn with the purchase of a ticket to any movie on January 19, 2026.

In addition, families can enjoy popcorn-themed activities and games, including make-your-own jewelry, bingo and more.

As an added treat, every ticket holder will also receive a FREE scratch-off ticket. The ticket can be redeemed in February for FREE popcorn, candy, fountain beverages and more — depending on what’s revealed.

There is only one Movie Tavern location in Colorado — 18605 E. Hampden Ave. in Aurora.
