BOOM! BANG! CHEAP! Fourth of July festivities abound in the metro Denver/Boulder area. We’ve found most of the no-cost and low-cost festivals, feasts and parades to keep the family entertained. Events are listed alphabetically for easier review. We expect to add more events, as they’re announced — so check back often.

In case of bad weather or fire bans, some fireworks shows may be cancelled. However, celebrations usually go on as planned. Check back here and on event websites for updated information.

Saturday, June 28

Lafayette

Lafayette Independence Day Fun & Fireworks

From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Waneka Lake Park. Food from local food trucks and a beer garden with brews from Westbound & Down and Stem Coders. Kids activities including free face painting and fee-based bungee trampoline and bounce house. Live music.

Limited Handicap parking available at West Park entrance on Caria. Festival goes on rain or shine. Fireworks show at dusk, unless there is rain.

Wednesday, July 2

Glendale

Glendale 4th on the Second

Held at Infinity Park. The evening kicks off with a screening of the movie “Armageddon” at 7 p.m.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot in the stands or on the grass.

Fans will be able to see the show from inside the stadium and on the Infinity Park turf, but please note that stadium seating will be limited as the capacity will be 4,000 for this event.

Feel free to bring your own food and beverages (no glass containers and no cookstoves or grills, please!).

NOTE: There are no designated parking areas for this event and several lots around Glendale may be closed.

Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 3

Berthoud

Berthoud Fireworks Celebration

Festival at Waggener Farm Park (1000 Berthoud Pkwy) from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. includes 27 food trucks, beer garden, inflatable slides, live music, and more. DJ Drake starts at 5 p.m., followed by Stuck On Vinyl performance at 7 p.m. Fireworks show starts at dusk.

Brighton

Adams County Stars & Stripes Celebration

4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food and beverage vendors open at 4 p.m. Live entertainment with country singer Tayler Holder starts at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks set to music at 9:30 p.m. Riverdale Regional Park (Adams County Fairgrounds), 9755 Henderson Rd.

Denver

Indy Eve at Civic Center Park

Denver’s Civic Center Park (Broadway & Colfax), 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Music features Colorado Symphony Brass & Percussion Ensemble and live DJs from Youth on Record. Night Market with food, local artisans and family-friendly activities.

LED light show, followed by Denver’s biggest ever drone show with 300 drones. Civic Center is easily accessible by free light rail, bus, bicycle or 16th Street MallRide so use public transportation.

Erie

Erie Fireworks Show

6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Held at Erie Community Park (450 Powers St.) with fireworks launched from the roof of the Erie Community Center. Food trucks and vendors will be in the south parking lot.

Limited public parking available at the Erie Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. Alternate modes of transportation encouraged, bike racks available for use. Fireworks display starts at 9:30 p.m.

Lakewood

Big Belmar Bash

Community celebration from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Belmar – Downtown Lakewood (along S. Teller St. and in Belmar Plaza). Music from The Tracers and Chris Daniels and the Kings, kid’s activities, huge Vendor Village and food trucks. Stage is at the south end of S. Teller St. at W. Virginia Ave. Event is held rain or shine.

Drone light show starts at about 9:15 p.m. rain or shine. The show (longer than in the past) features a fleet of 300+ drones equipped with state-of-the-art LED lights. The drones perform intricate maneuvers as they illuminate the sky with a variety of colors and effects.

MIX 100 will be providing the soundtrack for the drone light show. The radio station will broadcast from the band stage on S. Teller St. Tune into 100.3 FM to listen along or stream live from your phone.

Littleton

Littleton Red, White & You

Event is on. Details unconfirmed for 2025. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Clement Park. Food vendors, beer & wine gardens, Kids Zone, community booths, bounces houses (fee), FREE concert at the Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Bring a chair or blanket, sunscreen and a flashlight to use post-event. Event runs rain or shine. No pets allowed. Limited parking. Go here for parking options. 7306 W. Bowles Ave., 303-409-2100.

Friday, July 4

Arvada

Arvada Fireworks Display

Arvada’s Independence Day Celebration focuses on the core of the holiday — fireworks! Gates at the Stengler Sports Complex open to vehicles at 6:30 p.m. Food trucks onsite from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. No personal fireworks, alcohol, drones, RVs, charcoal grills (propane is okay) or pets allowed. Parking is free, first-come, first-served. The park is at 58th Ave. and Oak St.

Aurora

Aurora 4th of July Spectacular

Held on the Aurora Municipal Center’s Great Lawn. Starts at 6 p.m. Food trucks, musical performances and fun activities. Musical performances: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. — Ninety Percent 90s, 7:30 to 8 p.m. — Starling Circus Acts, 8 to 9:30 p.m. — Groove ‘N Motion. Fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m. and last about 30 minutes.

Free onsite parking will be available on a first come, first served basis. Event parking will be available on the east side parking lot in front of the Aurora Municipal Center building, on the west side parking lot in front of the Aurora courthouse building and in the lower south parking lot in front of the Great Lawn.

The parking garage will not be available during the event. There will be signage on-site to guide you on the appropriate spaces to park.

Don’t want to drive? Take the Aurora R-Line! Get dropped off at the Aurora Metro Station and take a short walk up to the event site. 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy.

Breckenridge

Breckenridge Independence Day Celebration

Kicks off at 7 a.m. with Independence Day 10K. Firecracker 50 mountain bike race begins at 9:30 a.m. Parade from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. along Main St. National Repertory Orchestra concert (cost: $5 to $65) at 6 p.m. at Riverwalk Center.

Brighton Fourth of July

Carmichael Park is the site of festivities from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food trucks, face painting, live concert by Ninety2K at 7 p.m. Fireworks at end of concert.

Bring blankets, lawn chairs, bug spray, sunscreen and water. The Park is at 650 E. Southern Street.

Broomfield

Broomfield Great American Picnic

Beginning at 5 p.m. in Broomfield County Commons Park with children’s carnival ($20 unlimited play on inflatables), NurfTurf (3 games for $10 or unlimited for $15), face painting, balloon twisting and concessions.

Two Beer Gardens. Bring your ID (21+) and enjoy a brew (cash only).

Bike parade (open to all ages) at 5:45 p.m. Spinphony perform at 6 p.m. At 7:15 p.m. concert by That Eighties Band. Fireworks set off at 9:15 p.m.

Limited parking available at the Broomfield County Commons. Additional parking will be located at Legacy High School with shuttles provided from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. 13200 Sheridan Blvd.

Brush

Brush 4th of July

Parade with floats, classic cars, tractors, horses and more starts at 11 a.m. The annual Brush Rodeo runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is one of the best around. Held at the Brush Fairgrounds. Rodeo tickets are $10. Get them here. Fireworks show held after dark about 9 p.m.

Castle Rock

Castle Rock Fireworks

Starting at sundown (about 9:30 p.m.), a high-flying, 15-minute fireworks show will shoot off from the former Acme Brick facility on Prairie Hawk Dr. To signal the start of the show there will be a three-shot salute.

Best places to view the show: Downtown Castle Rock, Metzler Ranch Community Park, Miller Activity Complex, areas of the Red Hawk neighborhood and Rock Park. Please be courteous when parking in neighborhoods.

Rain date is Friday, July 5. If the town is under Stage 2 fire restrictions, the fireworks show will be canceled.

Commerce City

Commerce City 4thFest

The annual FREE Commerce City 4thFest takes place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park officially starting at 5 p.m. (stadium gates open at 6 p.m.) and is open to the public.

Pre-match family festival will include live music, a bounce house, soccer darts, a rock-climbing wall, a mobile ropes course, an alpine tubing slide, a mechanical bull, a trackless train, pedal carts and a toddler zone.

In addition to the pre-game festival, Rapids Block Party starts at 5 p.m. on the south side of the stadium with a live DJ, drinks, food trucks and an LED wall that will stream the Rapids’ game (and other MLS matchups) live. Block Party is also FREE and open to all.

Local fans who live within the vicinity of the stadium can bike to 4th Fest and park their bikes, scooters and strollers at the Rapids’ Park Everything Lot, which is located on the east side of the stadium between Gates B and C.

LARGEST public fireworks show in Colorado after the game around 10 p.m.

Colorado Rapids vs. Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. (Stadium gates open at 6 p.m.) Soccer match tickets available here. Following the game, fans in attendance may sit directly on the field and view the Fireworks Celebration.

All fans unable to attend the game but interested in viewing the fireworks can park in the lots surrounding the stadium starting at 7 p.m.

Due to limited parking, the RTD bus and rail system is encouraged. Route 62 bus stop is at the stadium’s front door.

Denver

Central Park Pancake Breakfast & Parade

Start with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. at the South Green (29th & Roslyn). Breakfast will be on the stage. This is followed by an old-fashioned parade with bikes, trikes, wagons and scooters beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Highland 4th of July Parade

Details for 2025 unconfirmed. 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Bring your favorite, non-motorized ride and meet at W. 32nd Avenue and Clay at the Museum of Contemporary Art at the Holiday Theater for a bike decorating party. MCA will provide some decorations. At 10:20 a.m., parade marches down W. 32nd Avenue to Hirshorn Park, where a fire truck will show up for a refreshing water spray. Little Man Ice Cream after party festivities.

Park Hill 4th of July Parade

Park Hill 4th of July Parade

The northeast Denver tradition starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs on 23rd Ave. from Dexter St. to Krameria St. Includes 50+ floats, bicycles, costumed characters, classic cars, a marching band and more.

Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks

The Rockies play the Chicago White Sox at Coors Field at 6:10 p.m., followed by a huge fireworks display. Ticket prices vary based on seat location.

Washington Park 4th of July

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wash Park Smith Lake Boathouse. Event includes live music, a balloon artist, a magician and professional face painters. A children’s parade with bikes, trikes and strollers at noon, followed by free ice cream for everyone.

Englewood

Englewood 4th of July Fireworks

In partnership with Littleton and Sheridan. Starts at 5 p.m. at Belleview & Cornerstone Parks. Enjoy music, local business vendors and food trucks. Or bring a picnic dinner. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. Both parks — Belleview and Cornerstone — are located near the intersection of W. Belleview and S. Windermere.

Estes Park

Estes Park 4th of July Celebration

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a good spot along the lake. Fireworks over Lake Estes around 9 p.m.

Estes Park FREE shuttles have extended evening hours this day to take you to all activities. In addition: The Big Bang Concert (fee for admission — $23/adults, $11 children including fees) offers a view of the fireworks along with music by The Long Run, food, local craft beer and wine at the Estes Park Events Complex.

Evergreen

Foothills 4th

Held at Buchanan Ball Fields from noon to 4:30 p.m. Carnival games, live music, food trucks, log rolling competition, wood carving showcase and beer garden. Kids bike parade at noon around Buchanan Ponds. Bike Parade is $10 per person (includes entry to main event).

Musical performers include Chris King Band, Drew Dvorchak Band and Float Like A Buffalo.

Tickets $5 online (purchase by July 3 at noon to save) or $15 at the gate.

Firestone

4th at Firestone

Parade with floats, decorated vehicle displays, marching bands, classic cars, motorcycles, and more runs from 10 a.m. to about noon. The parade route will start at 4th and Grant, head south to Granville, over to 1st Street, and north to Grant.

After the parade, Miners Park (170 Grant Ave.) hosts tons of family-friendly activities, including a mobile zip line, rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, bounce houses, toddler zone, bungee trampoline, and double looping power bikes.

A Makers Market will be set up along the north side of Grant Avenue, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, with 35 local vendors showcasing handmade goods, art, and unique finds.

At 4 p.m. the main stage comes alive with live music by Marfa, Bevin Luna, and Pandas and People. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.

Fort Collins

Fort Collins July 4 Celebration

Firecracker 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. Independence Day parade at 10 a.m. along Mountain Ave. (Check website for route map.) Family Fun Zone with games and giveaways at City Park from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Food trucks open all day until 9:30 p.m.

Free trolley rides from noon to 5 p.m. Music starts at 4 p.m. and features FoCo Motown Revue, The Patti Fiasco and Funky Business.

Fireworks around 9:35 p.m. over Sheldon Lake at City Park.

Fort Lupton

Fort Lupton America’s Birthday Bash

3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Community Park at Fort Lupton Rec Center. Fun activities including free carnival rides, bungee trampoline, bounce houses and more.

Live music from Eric Golden and Delta Sonics. Vendor marketplace, food trucks and a beer garden on site.  Fireworks show set off at dark from the Coyote Creek Golf Course.

Frisco

Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July

Pancake breakfast ($10 adults/$5 kids) in front of the Old Community Center (110 3rd Ave.) from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. All other activities on Main Street. Parade featuring decorative floats and vintage vehicles at 1 p.m. After the parade stick around for a fire dancers, balloon artists, face painters, a bounce house obstacle course and more. Free concert from Orgōne starts at 4:30 p.m.

Georgetown

Georgetown 4th of July

Parade at 11 a.m. down 6th Street in Historic Downtown. Community BBQ ($10 per plate), Beer Garden and live music at noon at Georgetown City Park. Hot Dog Eating Contest at Guanella Pass Brewery at 1:30 p.m. Strousse Park grand reopening with root beer floats and music by Megan Burtt at 2 p.m. No fireworks in Georgetown. Head 15 minutes east to Idaho Springs for their show at 9:15 p.m.

Golden

Golden 4th of July Festival

Annual festival in Lions Park from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Activities include face painting, giant slide, Zipit obstacle course, bouncer and more. Music provided by Jeff Goodwin & The Front Range Cowboys, Thunder Roads and Boogie Machine.

Bring a picnic or purchase food and drink from American Legion Golden Post 21, specialty food trucks, cold Coors and Golden City Brewery beer, Bonacquisti Wines and more. 1300 10th St.

Granby

4th of July Parade

The entire community participates in the parade on Main Street. This year’s theme is: “Red, White & Blue: Electric Avenue,” an 80s-inspired celebration. Parade starts at 11 a.m. but arrive at least 30 minutes prior due to road closures.

Directly following the parade, head to Party in the Park from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Polhamus Park for live music by Duey and The Decibels, BBQ lunch, a bounce house and foam party and market vendors. In the evening, head to Grand Lake for fireworks.

Grand Lake

Independence Day Fireworks

Thirty-minute fireworks show begins after it is fully dark outside, around 10 p.m., so bring layers so you can be dressed accordingly. The fireworks are visible all over town. Chairs/blankets can be setup on the grassy lawn and beach areas surrounding the Headwaters Marina and Lakefront Park (1030 Lake Ave.)

It takes a lot of extra time to exit Grand Lake after the fireworks. Many venues offer music and food after the show. Prepare to spend some time in town to wait out the traffic. Show is weather and fire restriction dependent.

Highlands Ranch

Highlands Ranch July 4th Fireworks

A spectacular display of fireworks at Highland Heritage Park. Bring your blanket, and beverage, and hang out to enjoy the fireworks. Food trucks to be announced. Bike, walk, and ride-share whenever possible, as no shuttles will be provided to the park. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. 9651 S. Quebec. St.

Idaho Springs

Idaho Springs 4th of July

An afternoon complete with live music, family activities and more along Miner Street in downtown Idaho Springs starting at 10:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fireworks Show at 9:15 p.m. over Charlie Tayler Waterwheel.

Littleton

Littleton 4th of July Fireworks

In partnership with Englewood and Sheridan. Starts at 5 p.m. at Belleview & Cornerstone Parks. Enjoy music, local business vendors and food trucks. Or bring a picnic dinner. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. Both parks — Belleview and Cornerstone — are located near the intersection of W. Belleview and S. Windermere.

Lone Tree

Independence Day Celebration

Festivities start at 9 a.m. with the 4th of July Family Fun Ride & Stroll, which makes its way one-mile down the Willow Creek Trail.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. check out the Family Fun Park (reservations required) filled with inflatables, interactive activities, live entertainment, and food trucks.

Evening party at Prairie Sky Park open to all starting around 6 p.m. Live music and food trucks. Bring your blankets, camping chairs, coolers and outdoor games. Check website for parking and shuttle details. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Longmont

Longmont July 4 Celebration

Downtown Street Party from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring live music, carnival games, food, drinks and views of the drone and fireworks show.

Skyline Kiwanis will launch fireworks show from the Longmont Fire Training Center at 111 1st Avenue. Fireworks should be visible throughout the city. The St. Vrain Valley School District Drone Academy, will fly 300 drones at 9:15 p.m. Fireworks display starts around 9:30 p.m.

Louisville

Louisville Fourth of July Celebration

6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Join the community for food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, and patriotic music by the Boulder Concert Band at the Coal Creek Golf Course (585 W. Dillon Rd.). You may also bring a picnic. Beverages for sale at the Golf Clubhouse.

Fireworks show will start around 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off from the Golf Course. View fireworks from the sidewalks at the golf course clubhouse and tee boxes for the driving range.

MHOTC Tip: Only ADA parking at the Golf Course. Carpool or take a complimentary shuttle (from the Louisville Rec Center at 900 Via Appia Way or Coal Creek Ace Hardware at 1343 S. Boulder Rd.) to the Golf Course. Shuttles start at 5:30 p.m.

Loveland

Loveland July 4th Celebration at North Lake Park (CANCELLED)

July 4 Festival canceled due to budget issues for 2025.

Niwot

Niwot’s July 4th Celebration

Pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Niwot Market includes pancakes, sausages, eggs, green chiles, orange juice and coffee. Bicycle decorating starts at 8:30 a.m. and parade beginning at 11 a.m. with vintage cars, decorated bikes, bands and citizens young and old. Parade runs from Cottonwood Square and winds throughout the community.

Northglenn 4th of July Festival

Northglenn 4th of July Celebration

Noon to 9:30 p.m. at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. Event includes car show, bounce houses, pedal boats, Duck Derby, food vendors, beer garden, live music by Brass Attack (2:30 p.m.) and Conjunto Colores (4:45 p.m.), military recognition, concert by Hot Lunch at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks display starts between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Bring picnic baskets and blankets or purchase food and drink from vendors. Propane grills allowed. Charcoal grilled are not.

Parking is available at the Wagon Road Park N Ride at 120th Avenue and Huron Street. Then, use the walkway under Interstate 25. Near the park, parking is designated for handicapped, staff or vendors working the event.

E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park is at 11800 Community Center Dr.

Parker

Parker Fireworks Show

The Town of Parker will hold a remote-only (no close seating) fireworks display that can be viewed throughout the community. The fireworks will launch at 9:30 p.m. from Salisbury North (weather permitting) and run about 18 minutes.

Salisbury Park will be open to the public that day, but there will be no additional services or activities. Limited parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The only parking will be the park’s paved parking lot (300 spots). The larger grass lots used in the past will not be available for parking.

Public parks that may provide good views of the display include Bar CCC Park, McCabe Meadows, Stroh Soccer Field and Tallman Meadow Park, as well as the Cherry Creek Trail.

Sheridan

Sheridan 4th of July Fireworks

In partnership with Littleton and Englewood. Starts at 5 p.m. at Belleview & Cornerstone Parks. Enjoy music, local business vendors and food trucks. Or bring a picnic dinner. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. Both parks — Belleview and Cornerstone — are located near the intersection of W. Belleview and S. Windermere.

Superior

Superior 4th of July Celebration

Community parade at 8:30 a.m. Parade will follow Rock Creek Parkway and end at Community Park (1350 Coalton Rd.). Pancake Festival (free pancakes!) at park at 9 a.m., with music, carnival games, bounce houses and fun activities.

This year’s festival will also offer circus-themed entertainment: stilt walkers, bubble and balloon artists, and face painters.

Kickball Championship Game at 11 a.m. Community BBQ starts at noon at the Superior Community Center featuring eats, drinks and music.

Free parking and a shuttle service will be available at Lot 15 at the corner of Coalton Road and McCaslin Blvd. across from the Coalton Trailhead. The shuttle will make round trips to and from Community Park every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. No bike valet services provided – bring a bike lock.

Thornton

4th of July in Thornton

Party starts at noon at Carpenter Park Fields. Food vendors, beer garden and yes, parachutists floating down onto the field. Live entertainment throughout on two stages. Performers include: Hillbilly Demon, Cass Clayton, Hot Lunch, Thornton Community Band, 6 Million Dollar Band and Kory Brunson Band. Fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

No RVs allowed. Carpooling strongly suggested. The park is at 11000 Colorado Blvd. (108th Ave., & Colorado Blvd.)

Timnath

Timnath 4th of July Celebration

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. at Timnath Reservoir. Food trucks onsite. Free activities including bounce houses, dual-lane slide, bungee trampoline, obstacle course, human gyroscope ball and more. Live music. Pyro-musical  fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Westminster

Westminster 4th of July Celebration

Festivities from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Westminster City Park with activities, bounce houses, inflatables, food and beer vendors. Live music including Little Moses Jones (4 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.). Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Free shuttle buses run every 20 minutes starting at 6 p.m. Service animals only (no pets allowed on shuttles). Courtesy golf carts will be available at the event for those with mobility needs.

If parking at the event, please use 105th from Sheridan, or the Christopher Fields entrance from 104th. Handicap Parking is located near the fitness center. Let parking attendants or traffic officers know if you require a closer spot. These spaces are limited.

There will be a free bike valet located on the north section of the park near the parking.

Winter Park

4th of July Celebration

Pack a picnic, and pick your spot to enjoy the evening at the Rendezvous Event Center from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join a cornhole tournament, throw a bocce ball, or jump in the free photo booth. Free concert by Buckstein from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jam out to DJ Jen G before the drone show which will begin at about 9:45 p.m.

Saturday, July 5

Denver

Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks

The Rockies play the Chicago White Sox at Coors Field at 7:10 p.m., followed by a huge fireworks display. Ticket prices vary based on seat location.

Elitch Gardens

The park will light up the Downtown Denver skyline at park closing with a fireworks extravaganza around 9 p.m.
