Independence Eve returns to Civic Center Park on Monday, July 3, 2023. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for this FREE, family-friendly event. Performances begin at 5:30 p.m. with The Mañanas, followed by The Reminders at 6:40 p.m. Then, the Colorado Symphony takes the stage around 8:15 p.m. with a star-spangled concert. Between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. fireworks will be launched from the roof of the City and County Building.
Food trucks will be available on-site. No outside beverages will be allowed. Non-alcohol beverages and alcoholic beverages sold on-site. You can bring your own food as long as you follow the rules for coolers and bags.
The park will be fenced to ensure the safety of attendees and individuals will be subject to a security screening at all designated event entrances.
Entrances will be located near 14th Ave at Broadway and Colfax at Broadway.
Permitted Items:
Non-glass empty water bottles (can be refilled at water stations on-site)
Soft-sided coolers, six-pack size (10″ x 7″ x 7″ or smaller)- subject to search
Cloth bags, soft packs (12” x 17” x 12” or smaller) including backpacks – subject to search
Clear bags permitted
Small hydration only packs (empty) and subject to search
Food for personal consumption only; food must be in a clear plastic bag (one gallon or less), fruit and vegetables must be sliced, plastic utensils only
Plastic utensils (plastic only)
Blankets
Low-slung, collapsible chairs not in a bag are permitted for those unable to sit on the ground. These are subject to search.

Hard-sided coolers
Soft-sided coolers larger than 10” x 7” x 7”

Outside drinks or liquid of any kind (Non-glass empty water bottles, permitted)

Weapons of any kind including pocket knives, pepper spray, or any objects that could be used as a weapon
Fireworks, sparklers, or smoke bombs
Generators
Megaphones, air horns, musical instruments, or amplified sound equipment
Glass of any kind (except for eyeglasses & sunglasses)
Grills, gas, propane, or open flames
Laser pointers or LED projection lights
Pets (except service animals)
Drones, remote controlled planes or cars
Balloons, inflatables, or kites
Balls, frisbees, or sports equipment
Professional recording equipment or tripods
Bikes, skateboards, one-wheels, unicycles, roller skates, inline skates, or scooters
Markers, pens, chalk, stickers, or spray paint
Illegal substances, marijuana, marijuana products or paraphernalia
Outside vendors, unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways
