Indoor Play Areas for Kids Around Denver
When the kiddos are bored or the weather is being uncooperative (too hot or too cold) you may be looking for a place for them to play. This list of indoor play areas around Denver should come in handy.
I’ve included all sorts of activities, some free and some with an admission fee. For some of the pricier attractions, I noted if there’s a Groupon available (and you should always check Groupon yourself for those not marked, as new Groupons pop up from time to time). Also keep in mind memberships are a great way to save big.
This list is by no means comprehensive as there are a gazillion spots across the metro area. A few spots have closed in the last year, others are still to re-open. Free Museum Days in Denver For 2025. Now You Can Print Out Our List
Visiting museums can get expensive, especially for families. However, many Denver area museums and attractions offer FREE admission every month — some even offer special activities on those days. The free days are funded, in part, by taxes collected through the Science and Cultural Facilities District and/or donations from generous sponsors. Because free days are so popular, you are wise to reserve tickets in advance if the attraction has a timed-entry policy.
While admission is FREE, special exhibitions or other add-on activities may incur a fee. Dates and times may change, so always double-check before you visit.

Just in time for winter break and the prediction of mild temperatures, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is offering Kids Free December presented by Primrose Schools.
