Summer doesn’t officially end until September 22! Summer is the time to cool off with ice cream. (Actually, ice cream is perfect for all seasons, right?) This year, families will want to make McDonald’s a regular stop on their summer travels. The fast-food restaurant is offering an ice cream cone for 59¢ all summer at participating locations — through September 12. (If you like your cone with a little extra sweetness, get a chocolate dipped ice cream cone for a little extra. We’ve seen the chocolate dipped cone priced from $1 to $1.59 — price depends on location.) There is no limit, so the whole clan can chill out without breaking the bank.

We have confirmed with McDonald’s. There are no participating locations in Colorado Springs. Started in 2010, this McDonald’s promo has become extremely popular with Broncos fans hungry for a tasty deal. Everyone can tackle the bargains at participating locations with a few taps on a smartphone or mobile device — just download the McDonald’s app. (There is also key tag available, if you were lucky enough to snag one in the paper or mail. If you don’t own a smartphone, the tag may still be available at participating locations.)

Deals differ by market, so be sure the app knows you’re in the Denver metro area for the Broncos bargains. (For most apps, your location is automatic — unless you’ve turned it off in your settings.) Then, check under “Deals” for a digital coupon good for a Big Mac or Sausage McMuffin with Egg for just $1 the day after every Broncos game. (The same offer is available with the key tag.)

New this season, get a FREE breakfast sandwich with any purchase on game day. However, the offer is only available via the McDonald’s app — not with the key tag. (Conversely, with the key tag only, get 30% off any hat at the Broncos team store, also, the day after every game.)

This is your last chance to see the exhibit for FREE. The Calder: Monumental exhibit at Denver Botanic Gardens is a rare treat for art lovers. Years in the planning, it’s the first outdoor show of Alexander Calder’s work in the west and the first U.S. solo outdoor exhibition in more than a decade. Fly into Cinemark Theatres for super fun, especially if you need to catch up on superhero flicks or just want to experience the action on the big screen again. From Friday, August 25 to Thursday, August 31, the theater chain is hosting Marvel Studios Week — showing 11 of the studio’s biggest superhero flicks on its XD screen, including Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy.
