About Us
Boulder-based Claire Walter is a veteran travel, food and snowsports writer who keeps an eye on good deals and great values along the Front Range and the nearby mountains. Her Culinary Colorado blog covers restaurants and food news. She blogs about travel at Travel Babel. And her Nordic Walking USA blog covers fitness walking with poles, an inexpensive, year-round activity. Among the books she has written are Nordic Walking and Skiing on a Budget.
Denver resident Laura Daily has risen to the ranks of Jedi Warrior in the fight against the evil empire of high prices. A confirmed coupon clipper, Laura is always on the lookout for ways to save or stretch that hard-earned dollar and prides herself on digging deep to unearth a great deal. She is a consumer travel strategist reporting for a variety of national publications including AARP The Magazine, AAA World, Consumer Reports Money Adviser and Shop Smart. Visit Laura’s website to read many of her consumer-oriented stories.
Bryan K. Chavez was one of our most avid supporters from the beginning – always sharing great deals. In April 2011, we invited him to officially join the MHOTC family. He carries his purple coupon binder with pride everywhere he goes because he knows it’s as “good as gold.” His deal-seeking skills are so sharp that he regularly saves upwards of 75% on his grocery receipts! One of his passions is helping others save money. So, if a guy stops you in the grocery aisle and points out the better deal or offers to share a coupon, you’ve met Bryan. When he’s not clipping coupons or sniffing out the next great promotion, his professional background is in public relations & marketing for non-profit organizations, including the Colorado Marrow Donor Program, Bonfils Blood Center, Denver Health and Gill Foundation.
