Things are definitely now more golden at the iconic Golden Arches, especially for the chain’s most loyal customers. McDonald’s just launched its first-ever customer loyalty program — MyMcDonald’s Rewards. Whether you visit the restaurant infrequently or a few times a week, it’s worth joining the program for the money-saving benefits.

Here’s how My McDonald’s Rewards works:
Signing-Up
The program will only be available via the McDonald’s app. You must download the app and register for an account.
Then, select “Earn Points” in the app and you’ll have access to a personal MyMcDonald’s Rewards code.
Provide your code before ordering at the drive-thru or scan in-restaurant and the points will be added to your account. (Contactless ordering in the app adds points automatically.)
Earn 1,500 bonus points, after your first purchase. Use the bonus points for a FREE item or save them to use toward a higher reward level.
(The bonus points are available for new members only — through December 31.)
Earning Points
For every dollar you spend, earn 100 points. Earn points on every order, from breakfast to midnight snacks.
The more points you earn, the more rewards that are unlocked.
There will also be opportunities to earn bonus points for certain purchases or purchases made on a specific day. Check your account for bonus point offers.
Redeeming Points
When you want to redeem your points, open the app and go to the “Rewards” tab. Next, select your reward.
Then, click on “Use at Restaurant” to get a special code you provide at the register before you start your order. For contactless ordering, select your reward and choose “Add to Mobile Order.”
There are four reward levels with 16 total menu items available for redemption — 1,500 points, 3,000 points, 4,500 points and 6,000 points.
(If you do the math, you would have to spend $15, $30, $45 and $60, respectively, to reach each reward level.)

Points expire on the first day of the month after the sixth month from the day the points were earned.
Discounts & Deals
In the McDonald’s app, you’ll also find lots of discounts available every day under “Deals.” While most are available in-restaurant and for mobile orders, some are exclusively for mobile orders. Always read the fine print, before clicking and swiping.
Plus, you can only redeem one offer every 60 minutes, so be sure to choose wisely. Once you’ve redeemed a discount, you will be locked out for one hour from redeeming another offer.
If you’re visiting with friends and family, it’s helpful for each person to have their own account. That way you can redeem multiple offers in one visit — just have each person redeem an offer on their respective account.
What about My McCafé Rewards?
McCafé Rewards is now part of MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
Members can find any rewards they’ve already earned under “My Rewards” in the Rewards tab. Existing members will automatically receive 400 points for every McCafé Rewards punch already earned — up to four qualifying purchases.
Any McCafé rewards earned after December 27, 2020 will expire 60 days from the date they were earned.
After that, McCafé purchases will simply earn points toward complimentary menu items under the new system.
