The Littleton Museum revives its annual Draft Day on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can see and see mules, oxen, and large draft horses in action. These large animals, vital to survival in the 1800s will be put to work as they demonstrate how fields were harrowed and plowed and large wagons pulled across the plains.
Speak with experts about the care and training of these large draft animals and learn about planting time on a farm in the 1860s.
Plus, get some tips on chuck wagon “cooking” methods.
This event is FREE to the public.
