The evening will kick off with a collaborative performance by young local talent. Julia Kirkwood, 16, and Bri Weesner, 16, will be lighting up the stage at 5:30 p.m. for an hour of covers and originals.
This year, local favorite Hazel Miller will be bringing some friends to perform a one-night-only tribute to the queen of soul herself, Aretha Franklin. Miller takes the stage at 7 p.m.
The fun continues with a screening of Hairspray at 9 p.m.
Get some munchies from visiting food trucks. For an added bonus, Foothills Credit Union will be popping FREE popcorn for event attendees.
Bring your own lawn chair (no higher than 32″ from the ground) or blanket. (Note: No pets, glass containers or bicycles allowed in the entertainment area.) You’re welcome to bring your own picnic. The party goes on rain or shine
