King Soopers Offers Discount on Fresh Produce for SNAP, WIC & Medicaid Recipients in January

POSTED BY
Bryan

Coupon clippers and bargain hunters have often expressed concern over the inability to find any savings on fresh food — namely fruits and vegetables. However, this January, Kroger (the parent company of King Soopers) is offering a “fresh and fruitful” offer for select customers that helps make produce more affordable for families.

Fruit and Vegetables Discount

The Kroger Co. just launched its Verified Savings Program with 20% off fruits and vegetables to customers who are recipients of various government assistance programs, including SNAP, WIC, Medicaid and more.

To receive the “healthy” discount, eligible customers need to have a Kroger digital account and enroll in the Verified Savings Program. Once eligibility is confirmed, the offer will automatically be loaded to their account.

The discount only applies to qualifying produce items at participating locations. The offer is non-transferable. Qualifying customers must use their Shopper’s Card at checkout for the discount. Limit one redemption per day, per household.

The savings are valid on fruit and vegetable purchases through January 31, 2026.

Customers may sign up online, using SheerID, a trusted verification service provider that helps retailers confirm eligibility. Verification is good for five months and customers will need to reconfirm eligibility to remain enrolled.

Boost by Kroger Discount

In addition, Kroger is offering those same customers 50% off a Boost by Kroger Plus membership.

Verified Savings enrollees are eligible for half-off annual and monthly Boost membership plans, including Boost Essential at $34.50 per year or $4.50 per month and Boost at $49.50 per year or $6.50 per month.

Boost by Kroger Plus benefits include the following:

Unlimited FREE delivery on orders of $35 or more

Boost 2x Fuel Points anyway customers shop, with extra fuel points during fuel promotions

Streaming option of Disney+, Hulu or ESPN+ (all with ads) for annual Boost members

Member exclusive offers throughout the year
