HalloweenMile High Cheapskates love this time of the year. The ghouls, ghosts, zombies and witches are flying about the beautiful Colorado skies. Denver, Boulder and all points in between offer an abundance of Halloween activities for kids and adults. You don’t have to wait until October 31 for all the free and low-cost fun, with dozens of happenings filling the days and nights before All Hallow’s Eve.

Check out our list below for what’s on for 2025 (FREE to the best of our knowledge, unless indicated otherwise).

Boulder County Trunk or Treat

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. At Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. This isn’t your average candy grab — meet real K9 heroes, explore the inside of massive fire trucks, and police cruisers, and get up close with cool tech like robots and buzzing drones. Dig for treat treasure in their very own Jurassic archaeological site.

Costumes encouraged! Candy and non-food treats available. Enjoy this secure space for families to have a good time together.

Stoney’s Uptown 8th Annual Pumpkin Carve, Denver

Castle Rock Spooktacular

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include games, prizes, food, and of course, candy. This free event is held outdoors, so please dress warmly. Philip S. Miller Park, 1375 W. Plum Creek Pkwy., Castle Rock.

Northglenn Christian Church Trunk or Treat

1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Dress up in your best costume and visit creatively decorated car trunks to collect yummy treats. 1800 E. 105th Pl., Northglenn.

Trunk or Treat On Mainstreet, Parker

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Trick or Treat on Mainstreet with candy, goodies and Halloween fun including music, entertainment and more. (Special Sensory Sensitive Trick or Treat Hour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.) Event is FREE, but kids MUST register as there is limited ticket entry and a timed entry to ensure this event is enjoyable for everyone. Englewood Trunk or Treat Express

3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Held at Belleview Park’s Farm & Train (new location for 2025). Family-friendly haunted train ride, interactive activities and plenty of candy for kids. Costumes are encouraged for all ages. Tickets $5 per family (up to 5 members). On sale Sept. 22. Get tickets here. 5001 S. Inca Dr., Englewood.

Northglenn Safe Street Halloween

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A literal street of trick-or-treat fun outdoors on Kennedy Drive along Centennial Park. There will be stops provided by Northglenn High School student groups, spooky inflatables, music and trunk-or-treat cars from area businesses. Fun for all boys and ghouls.

Sponsored by the Northglenn Police Dept. Plan time to park and walk to the event. Centennial Park, 275 Kennedy Dr. (north of the Northglenn Marketplace at 104th Ave. & I-25).

Haunted Trail Adventure at Bear Creek Lake Park, Lakewood

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Walk along the Owl Trail and discover the critters of the night. This family-friendly event will explore the misunderstood and sometimes spooky animals that call the park home. Wicked fun carnival games (included in admission), campfire with marshmallow roast and photo booth. Admission: $5 per person, kids 3 and under FREE. You MUST register in advance. Thornton Trunk or Treat

6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Children spend the evening going from trunk to trunk, collecting candy from volunteers who have decorated their vehicles to serve as a backdrop for this spooktacular event.

Be sure to stop by the Garden of the Ghouls haunted walk (best for ages 10+) for more Halloween thrills and chills. The Boo Bayou children’s area is perfect for the younger spooks.

Food trucks on site selling drinks and snacks. Admission: $5 per person, $15 per family of 4.

NOTE: Due to the popularity of this event, the admission line will be cut off and the parking lot will be closed prior to the end of the event in order to adhere to the 9 p.m. closing time. Carpenter Park Fields parking lots, 108th Ave., & Colorado Blvd.

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Firestone Police Department offers a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. This event offers a trunk-or-treat, inflatables, obstacle course, a trackless train for wild rides, safety handouts, food trucks, a goody bag for attendees and more. Longmont Halloween Parade & Trick or Treat Street

Come in costume and line up starting at 9:45 a.m. at Roosevelt Park (700 Longs Peak Ave.) Parade starts at 10 a.m. and loops around Main St. (strollers and wagons recommended for small children). Trick-or-Treat Street by participating merchants begins after the parade.

Fall-O-Ween, Aurora

12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Belmar shopping district hosts FREE trick or treating and fun activities for all ages. Costume parade starts at 12:30 p.m. Trick-or-Treat Street goes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Halloween activities are in the Plaza and include crafts, DJ, dancing and food trucks. 7337 W. Mines Museum Spooktacular, Golden

2 to 5:30 p.m. A teal pumpkin trick-or-treat event. Come in costume, enjoy STEM themed hands-on activities (and treats), win prizes, and take pictures with Ms. Colorado herself. Also Mr. Bones, face painting, geode cracking, Blaster the burro and spooky exhibits. 1310 Maple St., Golden.

Littleton Church of Christ Trunk or Treat, Centennial

3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candy, face painting, bounce houses, balloon art, hay rides, pumpkin patch, food at food trucks for purchase and much more. RSVP required! 6495 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial.

Boo! on Briggs, Erie

3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Erie becomes eerie when costumed celebrants fill Coal Creek Park. The FREE fun includes candy, music and more. 575 Kattell St., Erie.

Lyons Halloween Spooktacular

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Community celebration and costume parade through downtown Lyons. Games at Lyons Elementary School from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parade down Main Street at 6 p.m. followed by trick or treating at local downtown businesses. Chili Cook-off at 4:30 pm at Main Stage Brewing, brought to you by the Lyons Garden Club.

Trunk or Treat at Peak Martial Arts, Thornton

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Open to all. Free entry. Includes a walk-through the Trunk-or-Treat lot (tons of candy!), haunted bus, carnival games, and a spooky movie. Concessions including hot dogs, nachos, baked goods, hot chocolate and hot apple cider available for purchase ($1 to $5). Costumes welcome. Bring a bag or bucket to hold candy. Halloween Monster Mash Party, Superior

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come in costume and enjoy food, prizes, music and games. Superior Community Center, 1500 Coalton Rd., Superior.

Broadway Halloween Parade, Denver

6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Features 70+ spooky floats handing out candy, bands, dancers, marchers and more traveling down Broadway from 5th Ave. to Alameda Ave. Join in the fun by wearing your favorite Halloween costume (your pooches, too). Viewing areas are available along the entire route on both the east and west sides of Broadway. Get there early to set up for a spook-tacular good time.

Halloween Pop Up, Lakewood

11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Family-friendly event with 50+ vendors and sweet treats, hosted by A Dash of Enchantment. Rockley’s Event Center, 8555 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood.

Growl-o-ween, Denver

Noon to 6 p.m. Hosted by Three Dog Bakery. This event is trick-or-treating around the LoHi neighborhood for your DOG! There will be treats for the pups and their humans. A costume contest, plus special treats and goodies will be available at the Bakery.

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free community event held along 32nd Ave. from Perry to Lowell. Costume contest, pumpkin patch, jump castle, performance from a local acoustic band, a beer garden, kid’s games, and, of course, Trick or Treating at neighborhood businesses along 32nd Avenue.

Denver BOOnion Station Trick or Treat Parade

4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating in Union Station’s merchant shops, a costume parade, mini-train rides, balloon artists and face painters. The Parade will begin at 5 p.m. and march around Wynkoop Plaza in front of Denver Union Station and inside through the Great Hall. Prizes awarded for first, second and third place overall costumes.

Mile High Trunk or Treat at Empower Field, Denver

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. HUGE event at Empower Field (Parking Lot C) hosted by Far East Center and Denver Police Department. Music, games, food, inflatable haunted maze, dancing, pumpkin decorating stations and entertainment for all ages. Explore decorated trunks full of candy, and come dressed in your best costume for a chance to win prizes for the top three best-dressed. Movie screening, too. Parking is in Lots B & D.

3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Trick-or-treating on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall (11th to 15th Sts.) rain or shine. Tiny ghosts & goblins, fairies & wizards, super heroes and more trick or treat up and down the street. Best for ages 12 and under.

Halloween Walk in Downtown Evergreen

4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Superheroes, Disney characters, dinosaurs and witches take to main street during the Downtown Evergreen Halloween Walk. Merchants open their stores to welcome costumed kids with a sweet treat or two. This is a fun, relaxing late-afternoon event which leaves plenty of time for trick-or-treaters to make a few more stops before they turn into “pumpkins.”

Leftoween at Left Hand Brewing, Longmont

5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Costumes encouraged. Live Music with Crick Wooder. Delicious brews and food trucks. Specially concocted Hot Whiskey Ciders. Feel free to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the show on the lawn. Held in the Garden. 1245 Boston Ave., Longmont.

“Stranger Strings” Halloween Party at New Terrain Brewing, Golden
