Golden Retrievers Gather In Golden. Join In On The Tail Wagging Fun

Golden Retrievers and their humans are invited to a huge party in — where else? — Golden on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The Goldens in Golden will be on Golden’s Main Street — Washington Avenue. The event has grown so large that it will now run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participating pooches and their people are invited to gather for a FREE dog photo and nab a FREE doggie bag.

This year, Washington Avenue will close to traffic and fill with thousands of proud pup parents and excited Goldens in bandanas, sweaters, tutus, and plenty of winter fluff. Expect a fun mix of activities throughout the event, which will include:

• Free shuttles, furry friends welcome. Park at The Splash at Fossil Trace from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and ride directly to Parfet Park
• Three group portrait sessions under the Golden Welcome Arch: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon
• Plenty of pup + people photo opportunities throughout town
• Two Vendor Villages featuring local and national merchants and dog-related non-profits as well as plenty of local food and drinks
• Fun games, contests, entertainment, and meet-ups at the Goldens in Golden Pup-up Pavilion and in Parfet Park
• Walks along Golden’s gorgeous Clear Creek walking paths (please keep dog leashed)
• Official merch for you and your Golden!

Many Golden businesses are offering a variety of Goldens in Golden activities, specials and fun. There will be patio dining deals, fun specially made dog treats at area shops, dog-filled beer gardens with specials and more.

A few things to note:

1. The event is rain, snow, or shine. In the case of severe weather, a public safety concern, or other circumstances beyond the City of Golden’s reasonable control, they may modify or cancel portions of the event.
