Van Leeuwen Offers $1 Scoops

POSTED BY
Bryan

Have you heard the latest scoop? Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is opening its second scoop shop in Colorado. First, how do you pronounce it? In America, according to the company website, it’s pronounced “Van – Lou -Inn.” The ice cream company started out of a yellow scoop truck on the streets of NYC in 2008. And the French ice cream’s popularity grew lick by lick with now 34 scoops shops in the U.S.

And they’re now making Colorado a little cooler…again.

On Thursday, September 15, they’re celebrating the grand opening of the new sweet shop at 1459 Larimer St. in Denver. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., customers can enjoy a single scoop for just $1. Limit one scoop per customer.

A single scoop regularly sells for $6.25, so the savings are definitely sweet!

Plus, the first 100 customers will receive a special swag bag. The shop also promises other sweet giveaways and more for the special day.

Customers at the grand opening will also be the first to taste Van Leeuwen’s new flavor, Crooked Stave Sour Rosé — in partnership with local brewery Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project. An ode to the Mile High City, the special-edition flavor is a raspberry and blueberry sorbet made with the brewery’s famous Sour Rosé and only available at the Denver scoop shop.

Van Leeuwen lovingly makes made-from-scratch French and vegan ice creams at its factory in the Greenpoint neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. And they’re scooping an exclusive limited-edition flavor at the Boulder shop — Rocky Mountain Road.

There is another shop in Boulder that opened earlier this year.
