For 10+ years, the Asian-Pacific Association of Longmont has staged an amazing Lunar New Year celebration. This year is no different with the Year of the Horse feted on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Silver Creek High School. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with the Lion Dance and other performances, as well as booths and food samplings, starting at 2 p.m. In addition, enjoy cultural games and hands-on activities.

Guests of all ages are welcome to explore activity booths – featuring Chinese brush painting, origami, paper cutting and much more – and participate in a variety of cultural games.
Food samplings will also be offered, from egg rolls to orange chicken, steamed broccoli to fried sesame rice balls.
