full moonJust when you thought the outdoor movies series were over for the year, there’s one in the fall — perfect for a cool evening under the stars. (It doesn’t get much better than snuggling with loved ones under a great big blanket eating snacks and watching a movie, right?) The Movie on the Field series, presented by the Haunted Field of Screams (10451 McKay Rd.) in Thornton, offers FREE outdoor movies on the field of Colorado’s largest haunted attraction. (The Haunted Field of Screams, Dead Man’s Night Maze and Zombie Paintball Massacre will open during the Movie on the Field. Tickets can be purchased online or onsite.)

Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a mix of horror movies and family-friendly flicks. Each film starts at 6:45 p.m. Here’s the schedule: Saturday, September 30 – Ghostbusters (1984); Sunday, October 8 – Beetlejuice; Friday, October 13 – Friday the 13th (1980) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003); and Sunday, October 22 – Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. If you don’t bring your own snacks, there will be a concession stand onsite with hot dogs, corn dogs, meatball sandwiches, popcorn, candy, chips, sodas, bottled water and more for sale. Beer and spirits will also be available for purchase.

MealPal Denver Launches Service With Free Party & Tasting

What are you doing for lunch? It’s the question we hear just about every day from co-workers and friends, right? Well, MealPal Denver is here to make answering the ubiquitous question easier. Its new subscription lunch service is convenient, low-cost and full of flavorful options.

For a monthly fee starting at $120, workers pick their lunch carry-out in advance. Subscribers get 20 lunches, which breaks down to just $6 per meal. Sounds like a tasty deal to us, given the low-cost and time saved. Part of the low-cost structure means no delivery. You must still go and pick-up your lunch, but we think that’s a good thing. You need to get away from the desk and out in the world — even for just 30 minutes during the day.

To launch the new service, they’re hosting a Launch Party and Tasting on Tuesday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. Admission is FREE and everyone is invited. The celebration takes place at Modworks Coworking (110 16th St.) in Denver. You must RSVP here. Read on for some of the lunch choices available through the service… [Read more…] about MealPal Denver Launches Service With Free Party & Tasting
