Four Mile Historic Park is seeking a posse of pioneers anxious for adventure of the Colorado frontier. Qualifications? A keenness for games, stories, races, wagon rides, nature discoveries and more. During Wild West Kids, children and their families will explore critters and the outdoors, compete in traditional races and contests, hear tales of early Colorado life and join in living history demonstrations.

The event is Saturday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission includes a horse-drawn wagon ride. Pack a picnic and come in your favorite pioneer outfit. Classic carnival fun comes to Town Center at Aurora from Wednesday to Sunday, August 2 to 6 to mark the end of summer and back to school. The 811 Run is a 5k run/walk and public awareness event to highlight the safety message – Know What’s Below. Contact 811 before you dig. Natural Grocers is relocating its downtown Denver store to the River North neighborhood, an area often considered a “food desert” by residents. The new store will be located at 3757 N. Brighton Blvd. and officially open on Thursday, July 27. (Its downtown store at 2375 15th St. will be closed on July 25 and 26, reopening on July 27 at the new address.)
