Before you hand over the car keys, grab your teen and attend a FREE class on responsible driving at Swedish Medical Center on Wednesday, September 19. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., you’ll both learn about the risks of young adult driving, what Graduated Driver Licensing is and how it impacts you and your teen. how adding a youth driver impacts insurance (really important!), and tips on how to teach your young driver to be safe.

Part celebration, part demonstration, all fun. That’s the formula for the self-described “Best Colfax Block Party” Art-I-Fax: Generations. The FREE street party temporarily closes Park Ave. and transforms it into a pop-up public plaza from Colfax to Humboldt streets on Saturday, September 8 from noon to 6 p.m.

The Louisville Art Association‘s 33rd annual National Fine Art and Photography Show showcases more than 100 works in various media. It is FREE and open to the public  from Saturday, September 1 though Sunday, September 9. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Downtown Castle Rock keeps the summer grooving with a Street Party and concert at Festival Park on Tuesday, September 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Headlining the FREE concert is Renegade Road Music. Live theater can be costly, but the Arvada Center has a money-saving tradition of offering three midweek previews for significantly less than the regular run. For performances on the Main Stage, all seats at previews are $36, compared with seats starting at $53 during the regular run. Preview tickets in the more intimate Black Box Theater are $25 compared with $40 and up for the regular run.
