Free Boat and Stand Up Paddle Board Demo

Join locally owned outdoor gear store JAX Mercantile on Sunday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a FREE fun-filled day on the water. Everyone is invited to learn about, and even try out Stand Up paddle (SUP) boards, kayaks, and canoes on Standley Lake in Westminster. Light refreshments will be served. There’s no RSVP required, but come early because the first 15 cars will have their park entrance fees waived.

Plus, purchase any full-priced watercraft from JAX and get $20 off your purchase of $100 or more. This promotion is valid only on the day of the event. Standley Lake Regional Park is located at 100th Ave. and Simms St., in Westminster.

Seafood lovers will want to hook these deals, before the sun sets. Red Lobster just introduced five early dining specials — perfect for those who prefer their savings (and seafood) during the day. Even better, these offers are a permanent fixture on its menu, not for-a-limited-time.

The daily deals are only valid Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., so plan accordingly. (The only exception is the Tuesday deal, which is available all day.)

CWEE is a local nonprofit workforce development organization. One aspect is the First Impressions Boutique, which provides CWEE participants with interview-ready attire to ease their transition into long-term employment. AMISTAD Health & Wellness Event in Boulder Today

The fourth annual AMISTAD Boulder Challenge and Health and Wellness Fair today, Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is a multi-cultural event organized for the Latino community in which children and families come together to learn about and participate in health and wellness activities, including The Health and Wellness Fair includes such fun activities for the entire family such as yoga, Zumba, boxing, soccer, health screenings and other wellness trainings.
