JCPenney Closes Store in The Shops at Northfield

JCPenney is closing its store at The Shops at Northfield. This is one of eight locations to close across the country. The freestanding store is located at 8568 E. 49th Ave. in Denver. It becomes the second major retailer at Northfield to shutter, joining Macy’s in closing its doors. No official closing date has been announced, but according to a story in Axios, the company said stores will be closed by mid-year. Northglenn Arts is launching a Silent Film Series, presented at the Parsons Theatre. Up To 50% Off! Macy’s Northfield Stapleton Location To Close

Macy’s Inc. has confirmed the closure of 66 Macy’s store locations including the Macy’s at  Northfield Stapleton (8298 Northfield Blvd., Denver). These closures are a part of a strategy, which includes closing 150 “underproductive” stores over a three-year period. Denver Children’s Theatre Presents Shows Just For Kids. Feb. 23 is Free

Kohl’s to Close Store at Arapahoe Crossing in Aurora

Kohl’s will close 27 under-performing stores across the country, by April 2025, including the one at Arapahoe Crossing at 6584 S. Parker Rd. in Aurora. No word on when or if there will be any clearance sales or if merchandise will simply be sent to other Kohl’s locations across Colorado. We will keep you updated as we learn more.

Just in time for winter break and the prediction of mild temperatures, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is offering Kids Free December presented by Primrose Schools. This event has been canceled and replaced with other community events. Loveland gets a bit brighter this holiday season with Winter Wonderlights.
