Friday the 13th doesn’t come around often. While it occurs at least once every year, some years have multiple Friday the 13th dates. In 2023, there are two — January and October. If you miss celebrating October’s Friday the 13th, you’ll have to wait almost a year for the next one in September of 2024. See a Spooky Movie
It’s Movie Night at The Courtyard in Louisville which will screen “Ghostbusters”. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for those with reserved seats. Harkins Theatres will screen the family-friendly Coraline (6 p.m.) and Friday the 13th The Final Chapter (9 p.m.) as part of October Fright Nights. Tickets are $7 for either film. There are two Harkins locations: one in Arvada and one in Denver at Northfield.

Hang with a Black Cat

No guarantees that a supposed “bad luck” black cat will be hanging around, but for those in the market for some feline company, check out either Denver Cat Company (3929 Tennyson St., Denver, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., Teddy Cat Cafe (39 E.
