Dive into the imaginative art song storybook filled with garden fairies, old witches, naughty children, imagination, and cautionary tales! Art Song Tales introduces beginner classical music audiences to relevant and diverse music through playful stories. Their kickoff performance is Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Montview Blvd. Presbyterian Church.
Hear the music of composers like Liza Lehmann – the first president of the Society of Women Musicians, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor – a biracial composer who overcame prejudices of his time and achieved massive success, and our own Colorado homegrown Ben Morris.
This 35 minute show is filled with mischief, drama, and pure silliness – perfect for elementary aged children and adults alike.
“Art Song Tales” is the kickoff concert to Art Song Colorado’s education tour of Denver-area schools. The show uses storytelling, poetry and animated video backdrops to entice young audiences to the beauty of singing.
This fun show is a great introduction to new “classical” music and after the show, join in a Q&A session where your kids can meet and ask questions of the performers.
Tickets are $10 and children are FREE with a paying adult. (Parents must remain with children during the concert.) Buy tickets here.
1980 Dahlia St., Denver.
