80s Bands & Public Lands: Family-Friendly Community Event Celebrates Volunteers For Outdoor Colorado

POSTED BY
Laura

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado celebrate 40 years of trailblazing with 80s Bands & Public Lands on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The FREE event is at the north end of Washington Park outside of the Dos Chappell Bathhouse. There will be live music, food and drink and a chance to meet Wilder, a curious creature who is part Yeti and part goat.

Enjoy live music from Band Named Sue and Ugly Rumor as they transport you back to the 80s with some classics.

Gather a group for a round of cornhole, toss a frisbee, and more.

There will be refreshing brews by Woods Boss Brewing Company for the 21+ crowd and each adult gets two FREE drink tickets. Plus, there will be non-alcoholic refreshments, provided by Colorado’s own, MOR Kombucha.

Event attendees can grab a bite to eat at the True Love Tacos food truck or the Mile High Tikka Express food truck, and finish off the afternoon with sweet treats from High Point Creamery’s ‘Big Pinky’ food truck. Food is for purchase.

Finally, Wilder, will make two appearances for those who may want to meet this friendly but giant creature.

An RSVP is requested. You can do so here. Or you can can register on site at the event.
