All Aboard The Trick Or Treat Train At Colorado Railroad Museum

POSTED BY
Laura

It’s full steam ahead for tricks, treats and trains! Hop aboard the Trick or Treat Train at the Colorado Railroad Museum on Saturday & Sunday, October 24 & 25. The event will feature Steam Train Rides behind newly restored, 1899-vintage Rio Grande Southern steam locomotive No. 20, plus lots of socially distanced family fun.

The Railroad Museum is a family-friendly, mostly outdoors experience. While there won’t be the usual  Trick-or-Treating this year, there will still be treats for the kids. Tickle your funny bones at the “not so spooky” Haunted Railcar and the Olde Railroaders Silly Graveyard.

Enjoy live entertainment, visit with local vendors for a tasty snack, and get photos with the family in front of the Pumpkin Patch cart and Harvest-decorated historical locomotives and railcars.

This event has been planned with your safety in mind. Masks are required for Museum entry, and must worn at all times when indoors, aboard trains, and outdoors whenever proper social distancing cannot be maintained.

Train capacities are currently reduced, with room for groups to spread out safely aboard trains. Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the Museum grounds.

Sunday is also the museum’s final Members Appreciation Day for 2020. In addition to all of the above, Museum members will have the exclusive opportunity to ride aboard the recently refurbished Rio Grande Southern caboose (limited seating—first-come, first-served).

Also this day, Behind-The-Scenes Tours of the Museum’s Richardson Library will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grounds are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with activities and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Train rides depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Museum Admission is $10 adults, $5 ages 6-17, ages 5 and under free. Members enjoy free admission and train rides.

Admission includes all activities except Train Rides. Train Rides additional: $4 adults, $2 ages 6-17, ages 5 and under free. Capacity will be limited so advance reservations are suggested. Click here for advance tickets.

Click here to buy General Trick or Treat Train Admission (without the train ride) or if train rides are sold out.
