Many families have an old or damaged car seat sitting in the garage or basement. And now’s the time to put it to good use. Target’s popular Car Seat Trade-In Event is back. Trade in your unwanted car seat and get a Target coupon 20% off a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear.

Since the program’s inception in 2016, Target has recycled more than three million car seats.
In turn, all of those seats have equaled more than 49 million pounds of materials being recycled.
Have an old, expired or damaged car seat? Bring it to Target during its Car Seat Trade-In Event now through May 10, 2025.
Car seats can only be traded in-store at Target. Look for drop-off boxes located near Guest Services.
Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant car seats, convertible car seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats, as well as expired or damaged car seats.
For your efforts, Target will give you a coupon for 20% off a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear.
Select baby home gear includes playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, bouncers, walkers, entertainers and jumpers.

Signs placed near the drop-off boxes allow you to scan the coupon from your smartphone for use in your Target Circle account.
The coupon is redeemable twice and valid through May 24, 2025. Even better, the coupon can be combined with other item offers.
