Looking for a reason to cut loose? On Thursday, August 6, 2026, you can help take over Belmar Plaza between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to “Disco-ver Alameda” with a FREE Silent Disco! This event is entirely free and open to all ages. Immediately following Belmar’s Street Fest concert featuring Montage, organizers will flip the switch and turn on a high-energy silent disco to bring generations together for a great night of music and movement. Whether someone is a fan of timeless classics, looking to relive the best throwback hits, or wanting to dance to today’s top beats, this is the place to be.
What’s a Silent Disco?
It is exactly what it sounds like, but even better. Every guest gets a pair of high-tech wireless headphones with three channels to choose from.
Want to dance with the kids? Switch to the modern beats channel. Need a blast from the past? Flip over to listen to classics.
And because headphones can be taken off whenever desired, it is the perfect way to actually catch up with friends without having to shout over loudspeakers.
While the event is totally free, RSVPs are necessary if you want first dibs on a headset before 8:15 pm.
Only 200 headsets will be available; an RSVP guarantees your headset until 8:15 p.m. at which time organizers will allow walkups.
