Other cities include Fort Collins, Loveland, Colorado Springs, La Junta and Lamar. And the going out of business sale is well under way, so now’s the time to go shopping for the best bargains. Get your list ready and stock up!

MHOTC Tip: At the start, the discounts aren’t great by most bargain hunters’ standards. The savings really kick in at 50% off storewide and are the best at 75% off or more. The only downside is that the selection gets smaller with each passing day. It pays to watch the sale closely and wait until the prices really drop. That’s the time to make a special trip and fill up your cart.

Close Out Sale
We visited the location at 1653 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver on October 17, 2025. The shelves are getting cleared out — about 15% to 20% left.
This location is officially closing on October 25, 2o25 — possibly earlier, if the shelves are cleared out sooner than expected. The other locations may also be closing soon, depending on their inventory.
We were told the discounts are the same at all other locations closing, but we have not officially confirmed its validity. As a result, discounts may vary by location.
Currently, the store hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours may vary by location.
Milk and fluid dairy are exempt for any closeout discounts. Discounts do not apply to Money Grams, lottery, Rug Doctor, propane, postage stamps, bus passes and gift cards.
UNCONFIRMED: When Safeway recently closed its Lakewood location, the discounts increased every Thursday. However, we have not confirmed if this will also be true for the current stores closing.
