This isn’t just another yo-yo meet-up; it’s a big deal with some of the best yo-yo players around competing for the title of Rocky Mountain Regional Champion.
Expect intense rounds in the Championship and Sport divisions on the Main Stage. And hey, if you’re just starting out, this is a great place to get started thanks to the Mile High YoYo Club!
The winning contestants can earn seeds to this year’s National Yo-Yo Championship, which is taking place in Las Vegas from June 26 to 28.
In attendance this Saturday will be the 2015 World Yo-Yo Champion Zach Gormley, as well as Colorado State 1A Champion Patrick Canny, and Off-String Yo-Yo extraordinaire Myles Gregory.
Modern yo-yoing has six contest freestyle divisions.
Much like in figure skating or gymnastics, timed routines choreographed to music are evaluated by a panel of judges, considering criteria such as complexity, creativity, and cleanliness.
Spectator tickets are $5 for children under age 13, $10 for ages 14+.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, or online here.
7000 Church Ranch Blvd., Westminster.
