For Douglas County residents enduring hard times, it’s good to know that a FREE hot meal and more than 25 local service organizations will be available at the Strive to Thrive Resource and Service Fair from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Calvary Castle Rock. This FREE event provides attendees with information on where to access food and clothing, medical assistance and more. They may also be able to pick up food and clothing.

Attendees can also learn about employment opportunities, how to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps), as well as many other supportive services.
This event features the usual resources available at Strive to Thrive, along with something new: a Spring Sports Expo. Organized sports scholarships are available for children aged 3-18, covering equipment, uniforms, player registration fees, and other related expenses.
If you know of someone who could benefit, please pass along this information.
