On a hot summer day, there’s nothing better than a morning at the movies to keep the kids entertained…and all in an air-conditioned theater.
Regal Entertainment Group has scheduled 14 weeks of family-friendly flicks at select theaters. During its Summer Movie Express, selected G- or PG-rated movies show every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. — starting June 4. (Dates may vary by location.) Tickets are just $1 each. (Even better, a portion of the proceeds benefit the Will Rogers Institute.)
This year, the flicks include:
Week 1: June 4 and 5 – Puss in Boots, Croods
Week 2: June 11 and 12 – Despicable Me, Turbo
Week 3: June 18 and 19 – The LEGO Batman Movie, The House With a Clock in its Walls
Week 4: June 25 and 26 – The House With a Clock in its Walls, Paddington 2
Week 5: July 2 and 3 – Despicable Me 3, Dr. Suess’ The Grinch (2018)
Week 6: July 9 and 10 – The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Week 7: July 16 and 17 – Smallfoot, The Secret Life of Pets
Week 8: July 23 and 24 – The LEGO Movie, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
Week 9: July 30 and July 31 – Sing, How To Train Your Dragon 2
Week 10: August 6 and 7 – Penguins of Madagascar, Boss Baby
Week 11: August 13 and 14 – Kung Fu Panda 2, The LEGO Ninjago Movie
Week 12: August 20 and 21 – Trolls, Minions
Week 13: August 27 and 28 – Madagascar, Shrek 2
Week 14: September 3 and 4 – How To Train Your Dragon, Storks
First-come, first-served seating is limited to theater’s capacity. Tickets are available only at the theater box office on the day of the show. Each week, both movies play on both days at 10 a.m. — each for $1.
