March ushers in a month-long celebration of women in the arts during the annual Athena Project Arts Festival. To celebrate International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 8, Athena joins with Swallow Hill Music to stage an open mic night for female singers and songwriters. This is the only female only open mic of the year at Swallow Hill in the Quinlan Cafe. The event is FREE. You can sign up for your spot starting at 6 p.m. Even if you don’t want to perform, you can enjoy the show starting at 7 p.m. Swallow Hill has a FREE parking lot on the southeast corner of Yale and Lincoln. 71 E.
