So you’ve opened some presents, enjoyed family time, munched on a gingerbread cookie and maybe watched a rerun (or two) of “It’s A Wonderful Life” or “A Christmas Story.” But, there are still hours to go on Christmas Day. Is anything going on in town? In case you need to buy some last minute eggnog or just want to get out-and-about, here’s what we found open in Denver, Boulder and beyond on December 25, 2021.

Stores
Walgreens — Stores that regularly are open 24/7 and 24-hour pharmacies should be open all day. Others will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some pharmacies will have limited hours. On Christmas Day, Same Day Delivery orders must be placed by 4 p.m. local time at most locations. Order cutoff times may vary based upon store hours. You can check local store hours using the Walgreens store locator.
CVS — Stores are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Day (NOT including locations inside of Target Stores).
Safeway — Select stores open on Christmas Day, with limited hours. You’ll need to check around.
Kum & Go — Stores will be open all day.
7-Eleven — Stores will be open all day.
Circle K — Stores will be open all day.
Maverik — Stores will be open all day.
Cinemas
Most movie theatres in town are open, though the first showing may be a bit later than usual. The easiest way to find out what’s screening and when is to go to Fandango. Then, type in your zip code and click on December 25.
