Yes, it’s true. There are lots of non-football fans out there, so many will not be watching the big game on Sunday. For them, it’s the perfect time to go shopping, run errands or go to the movies because there are no crowds at all.
Harkins Theatres is gearing up for the Big Game with a special deal for movie fans. On Sunday, February 3, Harkins in Arvada and Denver will offer $5 movies for My Harkins Awards (MHA) members. (For those not yet MHA members, tickets are $8. However, you’d be foolish to not join at the box office because it’s FREE. You’d be paying an extra $3 unnecessarily.)
Enjoy all movies in all formats at the special rate for one day only, including new releases, 3D, Cine 1 and Cine Capri films. (The only exception is IMAX.)

FYI- I took advantage of this offer online and was charged $6.50. I guess they charge a service fee of $1.50 which does not make it such a great deal when I could go to the Belmar cinema during the week for less than that. Oh well, live and learn. I’m certain I will enjoy my movie.

Linda – As with most online ticket sales, there is always a service fee. You should have seen the service fee refelected at checkout. Our advice would have been to end the transaction and not pay the fee. Because of the popularity of the Super Bowl, we’re confident tickets would be available at the box office for $5 with no fee. We doubt any of the shows will be sold out, even though it’s a great deal. Super Bowl Sunday is the best day to run errands, go shopping or go to the movies for non-football fans. There are no crowds anywhere, except sports bars! -BKC
